Pursuant to section 154 of the Education Act 1989, I hereby declare that Te Wharau School (3039), Masterton, will close on the 28th day of May 1999 and will cease to be established on that day.

Amendment to Constitution of Council of Southland Polytechnic

Pursuant to section 170 of the Education Act 1989, the Minister for Tertiary Education, hereby gives the following notice:

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as the Constitution of the Southland Polytechnic Amendment Notice 1999, and shall be read together with, and deemed part of, the Southland Polytechnic Notice 1990 (hereinater called the “principal notice”).

2. This notice shall come into force on the day after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

3. The principal notice is hereby amended by:

   (a) omitting from clause 3, paragraph (e) and substituting the following paragraph:

   “(c) One permanent member of the academic staff of Southland Polytechnic elected by the permanent members of staff.”

   (b) omitting from clause 3 paragraph (i).

Corrigendum

In the notice LN 3176, Land Held for Public School be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen, and published in New Zealand Gazette, 29 April 1999, No. 50, page 1200, amend “Section 23” to read “Section 24”.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

St Dominic’s School, Blockhouse Bay.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on the 4th day of May 1999. A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 39–45 College Hill, Auckland.
