Notice of Approval of Reflectorised Materials for Use on Traffic Signs

Notice

Pursuant to regulation 130 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to a sub-delegation to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety by an instrument dated the 1st day of March 1999, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager Safer Roads, Land Transport Safety, hereby approve reflective materials as listed in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2, for the purpose of traffic signage.

The following material is approved for use for belisha beacon discs:

3M™ Diamond Grade™ LDP Class 1A material: Fluorescent Orange Reflective Sheeting (3924).

The following material is approved for use for traffic signs mounted on vehicles which are covered by any operating requirements, general permits or any specific or special overdimensional permits set by the Land Transport Safety Authority:

3M™ Diamond Grade™ LDP Class 1A material: Fluorescent Yellow-Green Reflective Sheeting (3963).

The following notice issued pursuant to regulation 130 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is hereby revoked: notice dated 4 November 1998 published in the New Zealand Gazette on 12 November 1998, No. 184, page 4330.

Transport Act 1962

Declaration of Vehicle with Motorcycle Controls to be a Motorcycle

Pursuant to section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, I, Timothy Neil Bullock, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby declare that the vehicle specified in Schedule 1 to be a motorcycle for the purposes of the said Act and any regulations under this Act, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 2.
