Airworthiness Directives
Pursuant to section 72I (3) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation, I, Geoffrey Neil Connor, Safety Analyst – Continuing Airworthiness, hereby issue the following airworthiness directives in respect of aircraft or aeronautical products:

These airworthiness directives shall come into force on 8 April 1999.

These airworthiness directives shall come into force on 9 April 1999.

Notification of Amendments to Material Incorporated by Reference into Rules
Pursuant to section 36 (2A) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, I, Kevin William Ward, Director of Civil Aviation, give notice of the amendment of the following ICAO documents incorporated by reference in the Civil Aviation Rules which will take effect from 8 April 1999—
Part 172 Air Traffic Service Organisation—Certification
Amendment number 73 to Annex 10 Volume II, made by the International Civil Aviation Organisation, incorporated by reference into Civil Aviation Rule 172.105 (b) (2).
Amendment 38 to Annex 11 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, published by the International Civil Aviation Organisation, incorporated by reference into Civil Aviation Rules 172.75 and 172.77.
Amendment number 2 to the thirteenth edition of Document 4444, made by the International Civil Aviation Organisation, incorporated by reference into Civil Aviation Rules 172.67 (f), 172.75 (c) (2), 172.77 (a) (4) (ii), 172.105 (b) (3), 172.107 (1), 172.107 (3) (i), and Part 172 Appendix A (A.1).
Part 91 General Operating and Flight Rules
Amendments 186, 187, 188, 189, 190, 191, 192 and 193, made by the International Civil Aviation Organisation to Regional Supplementary Procedures (Document 7030), incorporated by reference into Civil Aviation Rules 91.246 (g) (2) (iii), 91.519 (d), and Part 91 Appendix A paragraph A.10 (1).

Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation
Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of a summary of an exemption, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.
Schedule
Docket 99/EXE/72 – CAR 61.807 (a) (1) (i)
On 17 March 1999. To Glen William Orchard and Callum Douglas Hawker, being the holders of instrument ratings issued under Part 61, from the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 61.807 (a) (1) (i).
The exemption shall apply until 31 March 2000 or until withdrawn in writing by the director, whichever occurs first.
Notice of the grant, withdrawal or denial of exemptions with provisos are published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL). For the proviso, refer to issue dated 1 April 1999. The CARRIL is available on the CAA website www.caa.govt.nz.
Exemption files may also be viewed on prior request to the Registrar at the office of the Civil Aviation Authority, 1 Market Grove (P.O. Box 31-441), Lower Hutt.
