Conservation Act 1987

Declaring the Disposition of Land to be Exempt From Section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987

Pursuant to section 24B (4) (b) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby declares that section 24 of the Conservation Act, which deals with the reservation of marginal strips, shall not apply to the disposition of the land in the Schedule hereto.

The land constitutes the Cobb River Power Station, areas which are required in connection with electricity works.

Reserves Act 1977

Amendment to Notice

Pursuant to section 6 (3) of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby amends an error in the notice entitled “Classification of Reserve” published in the New Zealand Gazette 1981, No. 58, page 1332, by deleting from the Schedule the land seventieth described and inserting in its place the following description.

Revocation of a Notice Relating to the Classification and Naming of a Reserve and Issue of a Fresh Notice

Pursuant to section 6 (3) of the Reserves Act 1977, and by reason of an error made in the notice hereinafter described, the Community Relations Manager, West Coast Conservancy, Department of Conservation acting under delegated authority from the Minister of Conservation, hereby revokes the notice classifying and naming the Ahaura-Kopara Scenic Reserve, dated 5 March 1999 and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 18 March 1999, No. 33, page 849, and hereby issues the following notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Classification and Naming of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, West Coast Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 of the said Act, and further declares that the said reserve shall hereafter be known as the Ahaura-Kopara Scenic Reserve.
