Reserves Act 1977

Classifications and Vesting of Reserves

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator, Canterbury, hereby classifies the reserves, described in the Schedule hereto, as recreation reserves, subject to the provisions of the said Act, and further declares that the said reserves shall vest in The Mackenzie District Council, in trust for recreational purposes.

Canterbury Land District—Mackenzie District

3208 square metres, more or less, being Crown land, situated in Block VII, Tengawai Survey District. Part Gazette, 1972, page 311. Shown as area “A” on S.O. Plan 19771.

1665 square metres, more or less, being Crown land, situated in Block VII, Tengawai Survey District. Part Gazette, 1972, page 311. Shown as area “B” on S.O. Plan 19771.

Declaration That Land is Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager for the Waikato Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by The Waikato District Council on the 26th day of November 1998:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, The Waikato District Council hereby resolves that the land held by the said council in fee simple, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be declared recreation reserve within the meaning of the said Act.”

South Auckland Land District—Waikato District

42.7345 hectares, more or less, being part Lot 1, D.P. S. 44506, situated in Block I, Karioi Survey District. All certificate of title 51A/359.

2.0790 hectares, more or less, being part Whaanga 1B2B2, situated in Block IV, Karioi Survey District. All certificate of title 13A/582.

3.2374 hectares, more or less, being part Whaanga 1B2C2, situated in Block IV, Karioi Survey District. All certificate of title 13A/583. Subject to a right of way easement created in PR 270/49.

1.4628 hectares, more or less, being part Whaanga 1B2C1, situated in Block IV, Karioi Survey District. All certificate of title 13A/584. Subject to a right of way easement created in PR 214/119.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of marae, papakainga and recreation, to be known as Te Moengaroa me nga whangai whanau for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Moengarora Tangatahe.
