Notice of Withdrawal of Product Ruling

This is a notice of withdrawal of a product ruling made under section 91F of the Tax Administration Act 1994.

Product ruling No. 98/79 is hereby withdrawn, due to an error in the formula at page 3 of the ruling.

Product ruling 98/79 related to the deductibility of interest payments incurred as a result of borrowings made in order to pay a dividend. It applied for the period 31 July 1998 to 31 July 2001. Notice of its making appeared in the New Zealand Gazette of 3 December 1998. It is withdrawn on and from 21 January 1999.

Approval of Child Restraints for Use in Motor Vehicles
Pursuant to section 77B of the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Peter Waring, Senior Engineer Vehicle Policy, hereby approve child restraints described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of section 77C of the said Act and for the purposes of regulations 29A, 30 and 30A of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The child restraints listed below manufactured by E-Z-ON Products Inc of Florida U.S.A., complying with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213 of the United States of America and labelled or otherwise marked in accordance with the said Standard:
- E-Z-ON SPELCAST Car Seat
- Columbia Orthopedic Positioning Seat
- 101-M2 Modified E-Z-ON Vest

Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986
Approval of Hazardous Substances Courses
Pursuant to section 48 (2) (e) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and pursuant to a delegation given by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation dated the 23rd day of December 1996, I, Francis John Wingrove Martin, Regional Compliance Officer, hereby approve hazardous substances courses to be conducted by the following organisation for the purposes of section 70H (1) (a) of the Transport Act 1962:

Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990
Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990
Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Victor Ian Everiss, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.
