Education Lands Act 1949

Land Declared No Longer Required for Education Purposes

Pursuant to section 5A of the Education Lands Act 1949 and pursuant to authority delegated to me, I, Paul Dickson Burke, Group Manager Property, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby give the following notice.

Notice

  1. The land described in the Schedule to this notice is no longer required for education purposes.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the 11th day of March 1999.

Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land at Ellis Street, Brightwater for Road

Notice is hereby given that the Tasman District Council, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, intends to take the land described in the Schedule for road, to be used as vehicle and pedestrian access to properties at 11A–23 Ellis Street, Brightwater.

The taking is considered reasonably necessary to provide for Tasman District Council ownership of the land in order to upgrade the formation and associated drainage works.

Any person having an estate or interest in the land may send an objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Department for Courts, P.O. Box 5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

Nelson Land District—Tasman District Council

1435 square metres, being part Section 1, Waimea South District; shown as “A” on S.O. Plan 15581, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Nelson. Part certificate of title 6/7 (Nelson Registry).

The land to be taken is a formed right of way at Ellis Street, Brightwater.

Amending a Notice, Road Realignment—Waimarama Road, Hastings District

Pursuant to section 55 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, hereby amends the notice dated 27 July 1998, published in the New Zealand Gazette of 6 August 1998, No. 107, page 2639, by deleting the area of road to be stopped described in Recital (b) as Section 1, S.O. 10561, and substituting it with Section 2, S.O. 10561.

Land Set Apart and Land Acquired for Use in Connection With a Road—State Highway No. 1 and No. 5, Taupo District

Pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, declares that:

(1) Pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, the land described in the First Schedule to this notice, to be set apart for use in connection with a road (segregation strip) and to remain vested in the Crown; and

(2) Pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Second Schedule to this notice, is hereby acquired for use in connection with a road (segregation strip) and is vested in the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
