Pursuant to section 55 of the Civil Defence Act 1983, I, Yvonne Sharp, hereby extend the state of local civil defence emergency declared in respect of the Far North District on 3 February 1999, until midnight Wednesday, the 10th day of February 1999.

Airworthiness Directives

Pursuant to section 721(3)(a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation, I, Geoffrey Neil Connor, Safety Analyst – Continuing Airworthiness, hereby issue the following airworthiness directives in respect of aircraft or aeronautical products:

Notice of Variation of a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the State Sector Act 1998 and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport, dated 28 August 1996, I, John Gibson Bradbury, General Manager International Relations in the Ministry of Transport, hereby give notice that I have exercised the power conferred by section 87Q of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, to amend the terms of the Scheduled International Air Service Licence issued to Canadian Airlines International to authorise the airline to carry on as many code-share services between Canada and New Zealand as are filed with and authorised by the Secretary for Transport, provided the services are carried on using aircraft operated by New Zealand or third-country airlines having the necessary authorisations.

This amendment took effect on 3 February 1999.
