Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session

Fiona Lee Schreiber

After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (d), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, following a disciplinary hearing, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”) in a decision dated 10 September 1999, ordered that Fiona Lee Schreiber, registered comprehensive nurse of Christchurch, be censured.

The council also ordered that Ms Schreiber pay 50 percent towards the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council which amounted to $6,010.00 and that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette and Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand and the Christchurch Press.

Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session

Fiona Lee Schreiber

After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (a), 42 (2) (a), 42 (9), 42 (3), 48A and 23 (2) of the Nurses Act 1977, following conviction under section 229 (A) (b) of the Crimes Act 1961, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”), in a decision dated 10 September 1999, ordered that the name of an enrolled nurse be removed from the roll of nurses with the ability to apply for re-instatement to the roll in 12 months time.

The council also ordered that the nurse pay 50 percent towards the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council which amounted to $1,043.00, that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette and Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand, with the identity and personal circumstances of the nurse suppressed, and that the nurse return to the Registrar all certificates and badges issued under the Nurses Act 1977.
