Notice of Decision of the Disciplinary Tribunal of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand

The Disciplinary Tribunal of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand decided on the 12th day of October 1999, that it was satisfied that it was necessary and desirable having regard to the interests of the public and for the financial interests of one or more persons that John Bernard Mathewson of Christchurch be suspended from membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand pending the further order of the tribunal.

The tribunal ordered accordingly.

Mr Mathewson applied to the disciplinary tribunal for revocation of that part of the decision ordering publication of the notice.

A hearing was set down for the 29th day of November 1999, but as Mr Mathewson withdrew his appeal before the hearing, the decision ordering suspension is now published.

Notice of Entry into Possession of Mortgaged Property

In the matter of section 104Dd of the Property Law Act 1952, and in the matter of Southland Building Society:

Take notice that on Friday, the 26th day of November 1999, the Southland Building Society, a society registered under the Building Societies Act 1965 and having its registered office at 51 Don Street, Invercargill, the mortgagee under memorandum of mortgage No. 931145/3 (Otago Land Registry) over the property situated at 20 William Street, Dunedin, being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title 143/221, entered into possession of the property.

Any correspondence relating to the mortgaged property may be sent to the Southland Building Society, P.O. Box 835, Invercargill (Attention: Frank Dean).

Animals Act 1967

Revocation of Movement Control Notice—Aujeszky’s Disease—Notice No. 1147

Pursuant to section 13A of the Animals Act 1967 and section 177 of the Biosecurity Act 1993, I hereby revoke the notice entitled Aujezsky’s Disease—Control of North to South Movement of Pigs (Notice No. 3511; Ag. 6/7/91) published in the New Zealand Gazette of 27 June 1985 at page 2721.

The revoked notice prohibited the movement of any living pig into the South Island from any other area of New Zealand to prevent the spread of Aujezsky’s disease. In November 1999 New Zealand announced its freedom from Aujezsky’s disease.
