Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Notice of Initiation of New Shipper Duty Reassessment for Canned Peaches from Greece

Pursuant to section 14 (6) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 ("the Act"), and delegated authority from the Secretary of Commerce, I hereby give notice that I have initiated a reassessment of the amount of anti-dumping duty in respect of imports into New Zealand of the goods described in the Schedule.

Peaches (halves, slices and pieces) packed in retail sized cans when produced by Venus Growers of Veria, Greece.

Greece

Description of Goods

The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item and Statistical Key 2008.70.09 OOL of the Tariff of New Zealand, which classification is provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive.

Radiocommunications Act 1989

Radio Spectrum Auction 3

The Ministry of Commerce wishes to advise that Radio Spectrum Auction 3, having been deferred from the starting date of 15 November 1999, will now commence at 9.00 a.m. on Monday, 31 January 2000.

Registrations for the auction are currently being accepted, and will close at 4.00 p.m. on Thursday, 27 January 2000. No guarantee of registration for the auction can be given for any registrations received after the closing date.

Radio spectrum management right lots and licence lots suitable for a number of different technologies including second and third generation cellular services (known as PCS), as well as fixed linking services, are included in the auction.

The multiple round auction will be held electronically, via the internet. Full details of the auction, including the auction catalogue and registration form, are available from the auction website at the following internet address: http://auction.moc.govt.nz/
