A PROCLAMATION
I, the Right Honourable Sir Michael Hardie Boys, Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare that, pursuant to the Citizens Initiated Referenda Act 1993, I have this day signed my Warrant directing the Clerk of the Writs to proceed forthwith to issue writs for an indicative referendum on the following question, namely,
Should the size of the House of Representatives be reduced from 120 members to 99 members?
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 27th day of October 1999.
