Pursuant to section 50 (5) of the Biosecurity Act 1993 and regulations 8 of the Biosecurity (Animal Identification Systems) Regulations 1999, I give notice that:

  1. Animal Health Board (AHB) Identification System approved by Barry O’Neil, chief technical officer on 3 October 1999 may be used to comply with the Biosecurity (Animal Identification Systems) Regulations 1999, with respect to the identification of deer and cattle for the purpose of controlling bovine tuberculosis.

  2. I hereby revoke the approval of the Animal Health Board (AHB) Identification System approved on 13 May 1999 and notified in Notice No. 1126 (030 A67) published in the New Zealand Gazette on 10 June 1999 at page 1542.

Dated at Wellington on the 4th day of October 1999.
