Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator of the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the said Act, to be known as the Te Awatea Scenic Reserve.

Resource Management Act 1991

Transfer of Esplanade Reserve

Pursuant to section 237D (1) of the Resource Management Act 1991, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Auckland Conservancy, Department of Conservation, with the prior written agreement of the Rodney District Council, hereby declares that, the local purpose (esplanade) reserve described in the Schedule hereto, shall cease to be vested in and administered by the Rodney District Council, but instead shall vest in the Crown and be classified as a scenic reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and shall be administered by the Minister of Conservation, and further declares that the said area of reserve shall be added to the Leigh Scenic Reserve.
