The Fisheries (Scampi Catch Limit and Commercial Catch Limit) Notice 1999 (No. F132)
Pursuant to section 11 (4) (a) of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister for Food, Fibre, Biosecurity, and Border Control, hereby makes the following notice:

Title and commencement—
(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Scampi Catch Limit and Commercial Catch Limit) Notice 1999.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1999. -
Interpretation—In this notice:
“Scampi” means fish of the species Metanephrops challengeri:
“Fishing year” has the meaning given to it in the Fisheries Act 1996:
“Scampi Management Area SCI 1” means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters defined as Fishery Management Area 1—Auckland (East) in Part I of the First Schedule of the Fisheries Act 1996:
“Scampi Management Area SCI 2” means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters defined as Fishery Management Area 2—Central (East) in Part I of the First Schedule of the Fisheries Act 1996:
“Scampi Management Area SCI 3” means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters defined as Fishery Management Area 3—South East (Coast) in Part I of the First Schedule of the Fisheries Act 1996:
“Scampi Management Area SCI 4” means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters defined as Fishery Management Area 4—South East (Chatham Rise) in Part I of the First Schedule of the Fisheries Act 1996:
“Scampi Management Area SCI 5” means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters defined as Fishery Management Area 5—Southland in Part I of the First Schedule of the Fisheries Act 1996:
“Scampi Management Area SCI 6A” means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters within Fishery Management Area 6—Sub-Antarctic in Part I of the First Schedule of the Fisheries Act 1996, comprising the area within 50 nautical miles of the mean low water mark of each island and rock of the Auckland Islands:
“Scampi Management Area SCI 6B” means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters within Fishery Management Area 6—Sub-Antarctic in Part I of the First Schedule of the Fisheries Act 1996, excluding Scampi Management Area 6A:
“Scampi Management Area SCI 7” means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters defined as Fishery Management Area 7—Challenger/Central (Plateau) in Part I of the First Schedule of the Fisheries Act 1996:
“Scampi Management Area SCI 8” means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters defined as Fishery Management Area 8—Central (Egmont) in Part I of the First Schedule of the Fisheries Act 1996:
“Scampi Management Area SCI 9” means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters defined as Fishery Management Area 9—Auckland (West) in Part I of the First Schedule of the Fisheries Act 1996. -
Catch limit and commercial catch limit—As from the date this notice comes into force, the following catch limits
