TARIFF DUTY RATIONALISATION: GOODS NOT MANUFACTURED IN NEW ZEALAND
In October 1998 the Ministry of Commerce advertised for objection a schedule of products which attracted duty but did not appear to be manufactured in New Zealand.
The Minister of Enterprise and Commerce has now agreed to an amended schedule of products becoming duty free under Part I of the Tariff. To enable the benefit of the tariff removal to flow-on immediately without having to await the opportunity for formal amendment under Part I, the goods concerned have been made duty free by way of Part II, Reference 99 administrative concessions and appear in the First Schedule to this Gazette.
