The Ngaruroro River downstream from its confluence with the Taruarau River, excluding tributaries;
The Tutaekuri River downstream from its confluence with the Mangaone Stream, excluding tributaries;
The Waipawa River downstream from the State Highway 2 bridge, excluding tributaries;
The Porangahau River downstream from its confluence with the Mangawhero Stream, excluding tributaries;
The Karamu Stream, excluding tributaries;
All lakes of the region;
The Tuki Tuki River where it passes through the Tuki Tuki wildlife refuge, and between the confluence with the Tukipo River and the Mount Herbert Road Extension;
The Waipawa River from the State Highway 2 bridge downstream to the first overhead power cables downstream of Rathbone Street;
The Ngaruroro River between the Chesterhope Bridge and Fernhill Bridge;
The Mohaka River downstream from its confluence with the Mangatainoka River, excluding tributaries;
The Waipunga River upstream to the falls, excluding tributaries;
Lake Te Pohue north of the two signposts on the south side;
The larger of the two lakes, known as Twin Lakes, at Kuripapango
Lakes Tutira and Waikopiro, except Sandy Creek and the lake inlet and outlet channel;
Lake Opouahi;

- AUTHORISED TACKLE
No licence holder, when fishing for sportsfish, shall use:
3.1 Any lead or weight attached below or as to hang below any lure or bait.
3.2 Any bait or lure treated with any chemical preparation other than that used solely to give buoyancy to an artificial fly.
3.3 Any hook which has a gape greater than 14mm between the point and the nearest part of the shank.
3.4 Any lure having more than one hook or having a multiple hook, or any fixed assembly of hooks.

Spinner
No licence holder shall fish any water into which any ground bait, berley or other fish attractant has been placed.
