The Wilson Home Trust

Public Notice of Application to Modify Trust

Pursuant to Section 36 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, public notice is hereby given that application has been lodged in the High Court at Auckland under No. M. 1325/99 to vary the terms of the charitable trust called Wilson Home for Crippled Children.

The trust has now been in operation for 62 years. It established an institution on the Lake Road site ("the site"), to provide residential care for crippled children.

The following particulars of the new scheme:

(a) The name of the varied trust shall be “The Wilson Home Trust”.

(b) Beneficiaries under the varied trust will be children 21 years of age or younger suffering disabilities living within the qualifying area (essentially the northern half of the North Island). Families of disabled children are to be included as beneficiaries also. These changes broaden the group of beneficiaries.

(c) The types of assistance the varied trust can provide are to be widened to include services on and off the site, including assistance, education, training, residential accommodation, and co-operation with other service providers.
