Notice of indemnity given pursuant to section 59 (1) of the Public Finance Act 1989.

Pursuant to section 59 (2) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:

On the 22nd day of August 1999, I, William Francis Birch, Minister of Finance, gave an indemnity, pursuant to section 59 (1) of the Public Finance Act 1989, to Commercial Fisheries Services Limited and Datacom Employer Services Limited in respect of all losses, damages, costs, expenses and liabilities against Commercial Fisheries Services Limited and/or Datacom Employer Services Limited which may arise from decisions made in good faith in pursuance of the services provided under the Registry Services Agreement between the Crown (acting through the Ministry of Fisheries), Commercial Fisheries Services Limited and Datacom Employer Services Limited dated 23 July 1999 as set out in Part C of that agreement and which are in excess of the sums Commercial Fisheries Services Limited and Datacom Employer Services Limited have agreed to meet or to indemnify the Ministry under that agreement.
