Revoking the Prohibition of the Prescribing of Medicines
Pursuant to section 48 (3) of the Medicines Act 1981, I, Wyatt Creech, Minister of Health, hereby revoke the notice issued on 14 April 1997, which prohibits the prescribing of benzodiazepines and their derivatives by Dr Lindsay John William Strang, medical practitioner of Christchurch.

This is a notice of a product ruling made under section 91f of the Tax Administration Act 1994.

Product ruling No. 99/9 was issued on 29 June 1999. It relates to G.S.T. on overseas student fees, and section 11 (2) (e) of the Goods and Services Tax Act 1985. It will appear in Tax Information Bulletin, Vol. 11, No. 8 of September 1999.

Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977
Permission to Conduct Within New Zealand a Lottery Promoted Outside New Zealand
Pursuant to section 69 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, I, Jack Elder, Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby permit Targus Australia Pty Limited, to conduct within New Zealand, subject to the conditions specified in the Schedule to this notice, a lottery promoted outside New Zealand as a sales promotion scheme, to promote the sale of the computer carry cases.
Schedule
Conditions
The permission given by this notice is subject to the following conditions, namely:
(1) Targus Australia Pty Limited shall not conduct the sales promotion scheme in New Zealand after 24 March 2000;
(2) The results of the sales promotion scheme shall be published in the New Zealand Sunday Star Times on 9 April 2000;
Winners will be notified by certified mail;
(3) New Zealand winners shall not be subject to any extra cost when they claim their prizes;
(4) The chance of a New Zealand participant winning a prize shall be equal to that of an overseas participant.

The permission given by this notice is subject to the following conditions, namely:
(1) Seagram Pty Limited shall not conduct the sales promotion scheme in New Zealand after 30 November 1999;
(2) The results of the sales promotion scheme shall be published in the New Zealand Sunday Star Times on 3 December 1999;
Winners will be notified by certified mail;
(3) New Zealand winners shall not be subject to any extra cost when they claim their prizes;
(4) The chance of a New Zealand participant winning a prize shall be equal to that of an overseas participant.

(2) The results of the sales promotion scheme shall be published in the New Zealand Sunday Star Times on 6 August 2000;
Winners will be notified by certified mail;
(3) New Zealand winners shall not be subject to any extra cost when they claim their prizes;
(4) The chance of a New Zealand participant winning a prize shall be equal to that of an overseas participant.
