Amendment to a Notice Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Area Become a Scenic Reserve

Pursuant to section 50A of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator of the Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby amends an error in the notice declaring land to be held for conservation purposes together with a declaration that the land become a scenic reserve, dated the 11th day of November 1998, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 187, page 4411, of the 19th day of November 1998, by omitting from the third line of the Schedule of the said notice “Sections 31 to 81” and inserting in its place “Sections 45 to 81”.

Reserves Act 1977

Declaration that Land is a Reserve, Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager for the Southland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by The Invercargill City Council on the 24th day of November 1998:

“That pursuant to section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, The Invercargill City Council declares the land described as part Lot 2, D.P. 2285 as contained in certificate of title 1A/860 to be and for the purpose of, a local purpose reserve (community buildings and recreational facilities) (section 23 of the Reserves Act 1977)”.

Further, the said land as described in the Schedule hereto, is classified as a local purpose reserve (community buildings and recreational facilities) subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977.

Southland Land District—Gore District

15.5935 hectares, more or less, being part Lot 2, D.P. 2285, and being part of closed road and part Sections 4 and 5, Block I, Invercargill Hundred. All certificate of title 1A/860.

Classification and Naming of a Reserve

Pursuant to section 16 of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Otago Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, and further, pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, declares that the said reserve shall hereafter be known as the Wilsons Scenic Reserve.

Change of Classification of Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to section 24 (1) (b) of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Department of Conservation, Otago Conservancy, hereby changes the classification of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, from a recreation reserve to a local purpose reserve (education purposes), subject to the provisions of the said Act.
