A childcare subsidy aims to assist caregivers entering work or training, caregivers with a serious illness or disability, or caregivers whose dependent child or children have a serious illness or disability, by assisting with the cost of pre-school care. An OSCAR subsidy aims to assist caregivers to take up and remain in paid employment, by assisting with the cost of after school care.
