The Traffic (Matamata Piako District) Notice 1998
Pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, give the following notice:
N o t i c e
(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Matamata Piako District) Notice 1998.
(2) The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
(3) The following notice is revoked:
The Traffic (Matamata County) Notice No. 2, 1978*.
Schedule
SITUATED within Matamata Piako District at Hinuera:
No. 29 State Highway (Tauranga-Piarere): from a point 300 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Hinuera Road to a point 700 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Hinuera Road.
Hinuera Road: from the No. 29 State Highway (Tauranga-Piarere) to a point 400 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said road from the said State highway.

Exemption from Specified Seat Belt Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990
Pursuant to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, John Andrew Justice, Senior Engineer, hereby exempt the motor vehicles specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements specified in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Conditions
(i) The vehicle manufacturerβs original equipment specification seat belts must be installed in all seating positions;
(ii) All seat belts must be in sound condition and good working order and must not be modified in any way;
(iii) A copy of this notice must be carried in the exempted vehicles at all times and must be readily available for inspection;
(iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time.

Transport Act 1962
Declaration of Vehicle With Motorcycle Controls to be a Motorcycle
Pursuant to section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to an authority delegated to me by way of instrument of delegation dated 23 December 1996, I, Martyn Jacob de Liefde, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby declare that the vehicle described in the Schedule hereto is a motorcycle for the purposes of the Act and any regulations under this Act.

The three-wheeled vehicle with motorcycle controls bearing the Vehicle Identification Number 7A8M5000798821450 and owned by Mr D. Watt of Tisbury, Invercargill.

Approval of Hazardous Substances Courses
Pursuant to section 48 (2) (e) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and under powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation, dated the 23rd day of December 1996, I, James William Furneaux, Regional Compliance Officer, hereby approve the hazardous substance courses to be run by the following organisation for the purposes of section 70H (1) (a) of the Transport Act 1962:
