Fisheries (Satellite Vessel Monitoring) Regulations 1993

The Fisheries (Automatic Location Communicator) Notice 1998 (No. 1) (No. F84)

Pursuant to regulation 5 of the Fisheries (Satellite Vessel Monitoring) Regulations 1993, the Deputy Manager Compliance, Ministry of Fisheries, acting pursuant to delegated authority, hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the The Fisheries (Automatic Location Communicator) Notice 1998 (No. 1).

(2) This notice comes into effect on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Interpretation—(1) In this notice, “type approval” means an approval given by the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Fisheries under regulation 5 of the Fisheries (Satellite Vessel Monitoring) Regulations 1993.
Grant of type approval—(1) Pursuant to regulation 5 (2) of the Fisheries (Satellite Vessel Monitoring) Regulations 1993, a full type approval has been granted to the following Inmarsat-C device:

Classification of Medicines

Pursuant to section 106 (1) of the Medicines Act 1981, I, G. R. Boyd, Chief Advisor, Regulation and Safety, hereby declare the following:

The medicine in Schedule 1 to this notice is classified as a prescription medicine.

Every reference to a medicine in this notice applies whether the medicine is synthetic in origin or is from biological or mineral sources.

Unless specific reference is made otherwise, every reference applies also to medicines that are—

(a) Preparations and admixtures containing any proportion of any substance listed in the notice.

(b) Salts and esters of any substance listed in the notice.

(d) Salts or oxides of elements listed in the notice.

Where any reference is modified by a statement of the strength of the medicine, the strength is calculated using the free acid, base, alcohol or element unless specifically stated otherwise.
