Taranaki-King Country By-Election—Notifying Issue of Writ, Date of Polling, Etc.
Pursuant to a warrant under the hand of the Speaker of the House of Representatives dated the 6th day of April 1998, directed to the Clerk of the Writs, I have this day issued a writ to the Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Taranaki-King Country authorising the Returning Officer to proceed to the election of a Member of Parliament for that electoral district. Thursday, the 9th day of April 1998 has been fixed as the last day for the nomination of candidates, and Saturday, the 2nd day of May 1998, as the day upon which the poll for such election shall be taken, and Wednesday, the 27th day of May 1998, as the day on or before which the said writ shall be returnable to me.
