Shooting hours: 6.15 a.m. to 6.15 p.m., except that in Areas A1 and A2 from 13 July to 30 August 1998 inclusive Canada Goose may be hunted or killed 24 hours per day.

Decoy limit: No limit

Unmoored Boats
Hunting from unmoored boats is prohibited over opening weekend (2 May to 3 May incl.)

Maimais

  1. No maimai shall impede the use of navigable channels in the Tauranga Harbour, Ohiwa Harbour, Little Waihi Estuary, Lake Aniwenua and Lake Taupo.

  2. Maimais erected in the Little Waihi Estuary, Lake Aniwenua, Ohiwa Harbour, Stump and Waihi bays of Lake Taupo must be dismantled and removed within two weeks of the close of the season (i.e. by 14 September 1998).

Magazine Capacity
The magazine of a shotgun may be adjusted to hold a maximum of two shells, however no shotgun shall hold more than two shells at any one time.
