Education Act 1964

Revocation of Primary Syllabuses

Pursuant to section 75 of the Education Act 1964 (as amended by section 5 of the Education Amendment Act (No. 2) 1982), the Minister of Education hereby revokes the following syllabuses:

  1. The syllabuses known as Social Studies in the Primary School 1961 and Social Studies Syllabus Guidelines Forms 1–4 1977 (Forms 1 and 2 sections) as referred to in clause 10 of the syllabus notice made under the Education Act 1964 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 19 May 1983 *

Education Act 1989

Closure of Glenroy School (3351) Notice

Pursuant to section 154 of the Education Act 1989, I hereby declare that Glenroy School (3351), Darfield, will close on the 27th day of February 1998 and will cease to be established on that day.

Dissolution of Tauranga South School Board of Trustees and Appointment of a Commissioner

Acting under delegated authority, pursuant to section 106 (1) (aa) of the Education Act 1989, for the reason that so many casual vacancies have arisen that there is no longer any member of the board of trustees who is eligible to preside at meetings of the board, I hereby dissolve the Board of Trustees of Tauranga South School (No. 1992) and appoint

Joyce Catchpole

as Commissioner to act in its place.

This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of March 1998.

The Gulf Harbour School, Whangaparaoa, Board of Trustees Election Notice

Pursuant to section 101 (7) of the Education Act 1989, and acting with authority delegated to me by the Minister of Education, I approve Friday, 15 May 1998, as the date for the first elections of parent representatives and of a staff representative for the Gulf Harbour School Board of Trustees. I also approve Thursday, 28 May 1998, as the date for the first board of trustees meeting.

This notice shall take effect the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that an integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

Nelson Christian Academy.

The said integration agreement was executed on the 18th day of February 1998. A copy of the integration agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the national office of the Ministry of Education, Pipitea Street, Wellington.

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

Nga Tawa School, Marton.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on the 19th day of February 1998. A copy of the supplementary agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 116 Victoria Avenue, Wanganui.
