Notice of Variation of a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the State Sector Act 1988 and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport, dated 28 August 1996, I, John Gibson Bradbury, General Manager International Relations in the Ministry of Transport, hereby give notice that I have exercised the power conferred by section 87o of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, to amend the terms of the scheduled international air service licence issued to Lufthansa German Airlines to authorise the airline to operate to 3 points, to be nominated, in New Zealand, with its own aircraft, and to all points in New Zealand on a code-share basis.

In addition, and under the same powers, I have amended the capacity provisions under which Lufthansa German Airlines currently operates to New Zealand. Lufthansa may now operate 5 services per week with its own aircraft, and carry on as many code-share services as are filed with and authorised by the Secretary for Transport.

This amendment took effect on 1 December 1998.
