The Traffic (Franklin District) Notice No. 6, 1998

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice:

Notice

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Franklin District) Notice No. 6, 1998.

(2) Those localities and roads shown within markings identified in the legend of and appearing on the plan numbered TT9805/1(2), entitled “Franklin District Council Speed Restrictions at Big Bay, Bombays, Buckland, Clarks Beach”, held by the head office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962; except where declared:

(a) as 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas or limited speed zones pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or

(b) as excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962, as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice as ascertained from the legend referred to above.

(3) That part of the Traffic (Franklin District) Notice No. 2, 1998* that refers to the plan TT9805/1, entitled “Franklin District Council Speed Restrictions at Big Bay, Bombay, Buckland, Clarks Beach” is revoked. The plan numbered TT9805/1 entitled “Franklin District Council Speed Restrictions at Big Bay, Bombay, Buckland, Clarks Beach” dated 5 March 1998 is revoked.

The Traffic (Far North District) Notice No. 2, 1998

Pursuant to sections 52 (1) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice:

Notice

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Far North District) Notice No. 2, 1998.

(2) The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962.

(3) The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

(4) The Traffic (Bay of Islands County) Notice No. 2, 1986* is revoked.

That part of the Traffic (Far North District) Notice No. 2, 1997** that relates to roads at Paihia is revoked.

First Schedule

SITUATED within Far North District at Haruru Falls:

Ash Grove Circle.

Causeway Road.

Falls View Road.

Goffe Drive.

Haruru Falls Road: from Puketona Road to a point 320 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said road from Puketona Road.
