Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to regulation 14 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 1 April 1996, which was granted under those regulations to Meaghan Kelly in respect of:

Te Arohanui Kohanga Reo (20573), situated at 10 Ponsonby Terrace, Ponsonby, Auckland.

The centre has ceased to operate.

Supplementary Integration Agreements

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that supplementary integration agreements have been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietors of the following schools:

St Mary’s School, Wanganui.

The said supplementary integration agreements were executed on the 10th day of August 1998. Copies of the supplementary integration agreements are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 116 Victoria Avenue, Wanganui.

Lake Taupo Compensation Claims Act 1947

Control of Lake Taupo Water Level

Pursuant to section 6 of the Lake Taupo Compensation Claims Act 1947 (“the Act”), and further to my notice of 21 July 1998 (New Zealand Gazette, No. 95, page 2198), I give notice that on 3 August 1998, the waters of Lake Taupo returned to a level below the maximum working level of 357.387 metres above sea level Moturiki datum (1956 survey) specified in section 2 of the Act. That level had been exceeded at 1 p.m. on 15 July 1998. At noon on 17 July 1998, the Lake Taupo Control Gates, being the works defined in section 2 of the Act, had been lifted from the water and ceased to be used in part to control the waters of Lake Taupo.
