Notice of Intention to Restore Companies to the Register

The Companies Act 1993

Take notice upon application by:

The Registrar of Companies at Hamilton proposes to restore the following companies to the Register of Companies:

The Registrar proposes to act under section 328 (1) (a) of the Companies Act 1993, on the grounds that the companies were carrying on business or other reasons existed for the companies to continue in business at the time that they were removed from the Register.

Any person who objects to the restoration of these companies to the Register must deliver notice of that objection in writing to the District Registrar at Hamilton within 20 working days from the date of this notice.

Public Notice of Amalgamation Proposal

Pursuant to Section 221 of the Companies Act 1993

The boards of Bridgestone Tyres (NZ) Limited, Firestone N.Z. Limited and Firestone Tire and Rubber Company of New Zealand Limited (amalgamating companies) are required, in accordance with section 221 (4) (b) of the Companies Act 1993, to give notice of the proposed amalgamation of the amalgamating companies with Bridgestone Tyres (NZ) Limited.

Bridgestone Tyres (NZ) Limited is intended to continue as the amalgamated company under the name Bridgestone/Firestone New Zealand Limited, and the amalgamation is intended to take effect from the 1st day of September 1998.

Copies of the amalgamation proposal are available for inspection by any shareholder or creditor of any of the amalgamating companies or any person to whom any of the amalgamating companies are under an obligation, at the registered offices of the amalgamating companies detailed below, during normal business hours.

Any shareholder or creditor of any of the amalgamating companies, or any person to whom any of the amalgamating companies are under any obligation, is entitled to be supplied free of charge with a copy of the amalgamation proposal upon written request to the registered office of any of the amalgamating companies:
