Appointment to the Medical Council of New Zealand

Pursuant to section 124 of the Medical Practitioners Act 1995, I hereby appoint

as a member of the Medical Council of New Zealand for a term of office expiring on 30 June 1999.

Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977

Permission to Conduct Within New Zealand a Lottery Promoted Outside New Zealand

Pursuant to section 69 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, I, Jack Elder, Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby permit Atlas Editions Pty Limited, to conduct within New Zealand, subject to the conditions specified in the Schedule to this notice, a prize competition promoted outside New Zealand as a sales promotion scheme, to promote the sale of the company’s collectable cards.

Conditions

The permission given by this notice is subject to the following conditions, namely:

(1) The sales promotion scheme shall not be conducted in New Zealand after 15 January 1999;

(2) The results of the sales promotion scheme shall be published in the Sunday Star Times on 12 July 1998, 11 October 1998, 22 November 1998, 27 December 1998 and 7 February 1999; winners will be notified by certified mail;

(3) New Zealand winners shall not be subject to any extra cost when they claim their prizes;

(4) The chance of a New Zealand participant winning a prize shall be equal to that of an overseas participant.

Pursuant to section 69 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, I, Jack Elder, Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby permit The Jewellery Chain Pty Limited, Australia, to conduct within New Zealand, subject to the conditions specified in the Schedule to this notice, a lottery promoted outside New Zealand as a sales promotion scheme, to promote the sale of the “25% Discount Club”.

The permission given by this notice is subject to the following conditions, namely:

(1) The Jewellery Chain Pty Limited, shall not conduct the sales promotion scheme in New Zealand after 3 May 1998;

(2) The results of the sales promotion scheme shall be published in the Sunday Star Times on 1 March 1998 and 31 May 1998; winners will be notified by certified mail;

(3) New Zealand winners shall not be subject to any extra cost when they claim their prizes;

(4) The chance of a New Zealand participant winning a prize shall be equal to that of an overseas participant.
