Notification of Determination of the Precise Question at an Indicative Referendum Petition
Pursuant to section 13 of the Citizens Initiated Referenda Act 1993, I hereby give notice:
That Mr Norm Withers
- has been approved to use, for the purposes of an indicative referendum petition, the wording determined in the paragraph below;
- is the promoter of the indicative referendum petition in which the wording determined in the paragraph below is to be used;
- has been approved to use a form for the purposes of the indicative referendum petition; and
That the wording of the specific question to be put to voters in the proposed indicative referendum is –
Should there be a reform of our justice system placing greater emphasis on the needs of victims, providing restitution and compensation for them and imposing minimum sentences and hard labour for all serious violent offences?

Appointment of Member of the Abortion Supervisory Committee
Pursuant to sections 10 and 11 of the Contraception, Sterilisation, and Abortion Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
John Robert Whittaker, medical practitioner of Auckland as a member of the Abortion Supervisory Committee.

Animal Remedies Act 1967
Licences Issued And Revoked Under the Animal Remedies Act 1967 (Notice No. 1079; Ag.154)
Pursuant to section 21 (6) of the Animal Remedies Act 1967, the Registrar of the Animal Remedies Board hereby gives notice that the licences listed in Schedules I, II and III have been issued as follows:
- The licences for remedies listed in Schedule I are new licences issued, not declared to be Prescription Animal Remedies.
- The licences for remedies listed in Schedule II are new licences issued which have been declared to be Prescription Animal Remedies Class I and may be administered to an animal only—
(i) By a veterinary surgeon; or
(ii) Under and in accordance with the authority or prescription of a veterinary surgeon. - The remedies listed in Schedule III are provisionally licensed as Non Prescription Animal Remedies subject to the conditions under which trials are to be conducted.
Pursuant to section 28 (3) of the Animal Remedies Act 1967, the Registrar of the Animal Remedies Board hereby gives notice that the licences listed in Schedule IV have been revoked.
