Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session—Order in Respect of Lincoln Andrew Jackson, Registered Comprehensive Nurse

In exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (a), 42 (2) (a), 42 (3), 42 (9) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand ("the council") in a decision dated 9 May 1997, ordered that the name of Lincoln Andrew Jackson be removed from the Register of Comprehensive Nurses. It declined to fix a time after which he may apply to have his name restored to the register. The council also ordered that he pay $3,000.00 towards the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council and that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand and The Dominion newspaper.

Notice of Intention to Take Land Situate in Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District for Public Road and Local Purpose (Esplanade) Reserve

Public Works Act 1981

Notice is hereby given (pursuant to section 18 (1) (a) of the Public Works Act 1981) that The Porirua City Council, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1981, intends to take the land described in the First Schedule hereto for a public work, namely for road, to legalise the use of the land as road and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto for a public work, namely local purpose (esplanade) reserve.

The taking is considered reasonably necessary for the legalisation of the existing use as road and local purpose (esplanade) reserve.

A copy of the Survey Office Plan 35090 showing the land to be taken may be inspected at The Porirua City Council, Cobham Court, Porirua City, during normal office hours.

The land to be taken is part of the Plimmerton/Pauatahanui Road and part of old bed of the Porirua Harbour.

Any person having an estate or interest in the land may within 20 working days after the date of this notice, send an objection to the Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Private Bag, Wellington. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
