Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

St Joseph’s Catholic School, Fairfield.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on the 24th day of July 1997. A copy of the supplementary agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, corner of Grey and Bridge Streets, Hamilton.

Cascade Christian School, Auckland (Attendance Dues) Notice 1997

Pursuant to section 36 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, the Minister of Education hereby gives notice approving the charging of attendance dues for Cascade Christian School, Auckland.

Notice

1. This notice shall be cited as the Cascade Christian School, Auckland (Attendance Dues) Notice 1997.
2. The proprietors of the above-named schools may enter into an agreement with the parents or other persons accepting responsibility for the education of a child at the above-named school requiring them to pay attendance dues.
3. The attendance dues payable in respect of any pupil shall be $1,290 (exclusive of G.S.T.) per annum per pupil.
4. Attendance dues received by the proprietor shall be used for the purpose of paying for such improvements to, or for such capital works associated with, the buildings and associated facilities of the above-mentioned integrated school as may be required or approved by the Minister of Education, pursuant to section 40(2) of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, or for meeting debts, mortgages, liens, or other charges associated with any of the land and buildings that constitute the integrated schools.

Fisheries Act 1983

Fisheries (Bycatch Trade-Off) Notice (No. 3) 1997 (No. F60)

Pursuant to section 28zg of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Acting Manager Policy, Ministry of Fisheries (acting pursuant to delegated authority in accordance with section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988), hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Bycatch Trade-off) Notice (No. 3) 1997.
   (2) This notice shall come into effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette, and shall expire on the 15th day of October 1997.

2. Interpretation—In this notice:
   (a) Any reference to Quota Management Area means the appropriate Quota Management Area as defined in the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches and Catch Histories) Notice 1986*;
   (b) Target species and bycatch species are specified by the way of fishstock codes, being Fishstock Codes defined in the Second Schedule of the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 1990†; and
   (c) Methods are specified by way of method codes, being Method Codes defined in the Second Schedule of the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 1990†.

3. Offering of quota in lieu of paying deemed value—(1) Subject to this clause, as from the date this notice comes into effect, any commercial fisherman who but for section 28zg of the Fisheries Act 1983, could be required under section 28zd of that Act to pay the deemed value of any fish that is specified as a bycatch species in this notice, may, not later than 15 days after the end of the month in which the fish were taken, by notice in writing, offer the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Fisheries a lease or sub-lease of the right to take fish, under any quota held or leased by that fisher that are specified in the Schedule to this notice as a target species in relation to that bycatch species.
   (2) The ratios specified in the Schedule to this notice, are the ratios at which a lease or sublease of quota of the target species
