Lockwood Road.

SITUATED within Franklin District at Kaiaua:
East Coast Road: from a point 700 metres measured southerly, generally along East Coast Road from Kaiaua Road to a point 805 metres measured northerly, generally along East Coast Road from Kaiaua Road.

Kaiaua Road: from a point 260 metres measured westerly, generally along Kaiaua Road from East Coast Road to East Coast Road.

Kowhai Avenue.

Lipscombe Road.

Pohutukawa Avenue.

Puriri Avenue.

Second Schedule

SITUATED within Franklin District at Paerata and Pukekohe:
State Highway No. 22 (Runciman–Tuakau): from a point 600 metres measured northerly, generally along the State highway from Kayes Road to a point 430 metres measured north-westerly, generally along the State highway from Crown Road.

The Traffic (Palmerston North City) Notice 1997

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 (“the Act”), and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand, dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, give the following notice:

Notice

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Palmerston North City) Notice 1997.

(2) Those localities and areas on Plan No. LT9737/1 and Plan No. LT9737/2 headed “Palmerston North City Roading Speed Restrictions” and indicated by markings in accordance with the legend on that plan, are declared to be:

(a) closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Act at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Act; or

(b) 70 kilometres an hour speed-limit areas, pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or

(c) excluded from the limitations as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Act, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Act,

as indicated on that plan.

(3) This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous traffic notices issued pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, section 52 of the Act, regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, and section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, for the former Palmerston North City, Kairanga County, Oroua County.

The Traffic (Rodney District) Notice No. 2, 1997

Pursuant to sections 52 (1) (c) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand, dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, give the following notice:

Notice

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rodney District) Notice No. 2 1997.

(2) The localities specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

(3) The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area, pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

(4) The road specified in the Third Schedule is excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

(5) The following notices are revoked:

(a) Those parts of The Traffic (Rodney County) Notice No. 3, 1986* which relate to the roads in the Second Schedule.

(b) Those parts of The Traffic (Rodney County–Hibiscus Coast/Wainui Ridings) Notice No. 4, 1986† which relate to the roads in the First and Second Schedule.

(c) Those parts of The Traffic (Rodney County) Notice No. 3, 1987‡ which relate to the roads in the Second Schedule.

(d) Those parts of The Traffic (Rodney District) Notice No. 2, 1990§ which relate to the roads in the First and Second Schedule.

(e) Those parts of The Traffic (Rodney District) Notice No. 1, 1991|| which relate to the roads in the Second Schedule.

(f) Those parts of The Traffic (Rodney District) Notice No. 1, 1993¶ which relate to the road in the Second Schedule.

(g) The Traffic (Rodney District) Notice No. 1, 1994**.

(h) The Traffic (Rodney District) Notice 1997††.

First Schedule

SITUATED within Rodney District at Kaukapakapa:
Kaipara Coast Highway: [ex State Highway No. 16 (Auckland–Wellsford)] from a point 160 metres measured northerly, generally, from North Crescent, along Kaipara Coast Highway to a point 500 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along Kaipara Coast Highway from North Crescent.
