Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation

Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of an exemption, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.

Docket 97/EXE/59, to Eurocopter AS350B2 helicopter, serial number 2436, New Zealand Registration ZK-IWJ, on 20 June 1997. From 21.191 (a) (2) (ii). To exempt Wing and Rotor Limited, applicants for a standard category certificate of airworthiness for the aircraft, from the requirement to provide the director with evidence that a statement of conformity has been issued by, or in accordance with, the rules of the airworthiness authority of the exporting country.

The grant, or denial, of exemptions is also published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL), a six weekly publication of the Civil Aviation Authority.

Traffic Regulations 1976

Notice of Approval of Reflectorised Materials for Use on Traffic Signs

Notice

Pursuant to regulation 130 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to powers and functions delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety (“the director”) by an instrument dated the 18th day of December 1996, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, Land Transport Safety, hereby approve reflective materials of the make and type described in the Schedule attached, to be used for reflectorised signs.

The notice dated 17 October 1996, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 24 December 1996, No. 155, page 4115, issued pursuant to regulation 130 (1) or the Traffic Regulations 1976, is hereby revoked.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (2) and (3) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Martyn Jacob de Liefde, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3 of this notice.
