Civil Aviation Act 1990

Notice of Designation of Country for Open Aviation Market Licences

Pursuant to section 87r of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, I designate the United States of America as a country in respect of which—

(a) scheduled international air services; and

(b) non-scheduled international flights engaged in the carriage of passengers, cargo or mail for remuneration or hire,

may be carried on, to and from New Zealand, pursuant to and in conformity with an open aviation market licence.

This designation shall come into effect from the date of this notice.

Casino Control Authority Levy

Pursuant to section 76 (4) of the Casino Control Act 1990, the Casino Control Authority specifies the amount of the levies to be paid under section 76 of the Act for the financial year 1 July 1997 to 30 June 1998, being the amount approved by the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Finance under section 76 (3), to be $2,484,000 (G.S.T. exclusive), as follows:

Harrah’s Sky City Limited—North Island—Initial Casino Premises Licence:

$1,609,400 (G.S.T. exclusive).

Christchurch Casinos Limited—South Island—Initial Casino Premises Licence:

$874,600 (G.S.T. exclusive).

Beverage Industry Training Organisation Incorporated as an Industry Training Organisation was cancelled at the request of the New Zealand Food and Beverage Industry Training Organisation Incorporated.

Pharmacy Industry Training Organisation Incorporated

The Board of the Education and Training Support Agency, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Monday, the 16th day of June 1997, the Pharmacy Industry Training Organisation Incorporated, was granted full recognition as an Industry Training Organisation for the Pharmacy (excluding manufacture of pharmaceuticals) Industry.

It will set standards on the National Qualifications Framework in the following areas:

  • community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy and legislative and administrative pharmacy relating to primary health and well-being care, Levels 1–8.

The ITO shall be required to consult with other interested organisations over the setting skill standards.
