Civil Defence Act 1983

Declaration of State of Local Civil Defence Emergency

Pursuant to section 52 of the Civil Defence Act 1983, I, Angus Mitchell Gemmell, hereby declare a state of local civil defence emergency to be in force in the Wairoa District.

The state of local civil defence emergency shall come into force on the time and date of making this declaration.

Declaration Terminating State of Local Civil Defence Emergency

Pursuant to section 56 of the Civil Defence Act 1983, I, Angus Mitchell Gemmell, hereby terminate the state of local civil defence emergency declared in respect of the Wairoa District on 2 June 1997.

The termination of the state of local civil defence emergency shall take effect from the time and date of this declaration.

Criminal Justice Act 1985

Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

Pursuant to Section 84 (2) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985

On the 16th day of December 1996 at the District Court at Hamilton, Sonny Rangiawha of 16 Coleridge Drive, Hamilton, was convicted and sentenced to suspended sentence of imprisonment for 9 months, 9 months community programme and disqualified for 5 years following his conviction on a charge of driving while disqualified having been previously been convicted.

And in addition to the above-mentioned penalty, Judge R. L. B. Spear has ordered that a 1974 Ford Escort, registration No. GZ 8605 owned by the above-mentioned defendant, Sonny Rangiawha, be forfeited to Her Majesty the Queen, pursuant to section 84 (2) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985.
