Civil Aviation Act 1990

Notification of Ordinary Rules

Pursuant to section 34 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of the ordinary rules set out in the Schedule hereto, which shall come into force as specified.

Schedule

Civil Aviation Rules Part 39: Airworthiness Directives, effective from 14 March 1997.

Civil Aviation Rules Part 91: General Operating and Flight Rules, effective from 1 April 1997.

These ordinary rules were signed by the Minister of Transport on the 12th day of December 1996, and are available for inspection at the Head Office of the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand, 1 Market Grove (P.O. Box 31-441), Lower Hutt 6315.

Transport Act 1962

Approval of Defensive Driving Organisations

Pursuant to section 39 (a) of the Transport Act 1962 and section 48 (2) (a) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986; under powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation dated the 23rd day of December 1996; I, Alan Woodside, Group Manager, Safer People and Operators, hereby approve the following organisations for the purposes of section 68 (1) (b) of the Transport Act 1962 and regulations 11 (1) (b) (i) and 32 (2) (c) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987:

Conservation

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring the Disposition of Land to be Exempt From Section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987

Pursuant to section 24B (4) (b) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Director-General of Conservation hereby declares that section 24 of the Conservation Act, which deals with the reservation of marginal strips, shall not apply to the disposition of the land in the Schedule hereto, the land is required in connection with electricity works by Trans Power New Zealand Limited and Contact Energy Limited.

Taranaki Land District—Stratford District

4547 square metres, more or less, being Lot 1, L.T. 17776, formerly part Lot 2, D.P. 7012 and being part of the land in Proclamation 158140.

7.0695 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, L.T. 18343, formerly part Lot 2, D.P. 7012, part Lot 6, D.P. 161 and part Section 108, Block II, Ngaere Survey District, being part of the land in Proclamations 158140, 971 and 1533.

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby revokes the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by The Waimakariri District Council at current market value. Proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council's reserves account, such money to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.
