Notice of Disclaimer Under Section 300 of the Companies Act 1955—Former Property of R O Sandstad Limited

In the matter of the Land Transfer Act 1952, and in the matter of sections 299 and 300 of the Companies Act 1955, and in the matter of R O Sandstad Limited (dissolved):

Whereas on 24 April 1997, I, Mark Prebble, Acting Secretary to the Treasury, first became aware that the Crown was vested (by virtue of the removal of R O Sandstad Limited from the Register of Companies on 10 January 1996) with rights as lessee under lease C. 472784.3 dated 14 April 1993 between Douglas Dowson and Jean Helen Dowson, both retired of Whangarei, as lessors and R O Sandstad Limited, as lessee, in respect of premises situated at 66 Mount Eden Road, Auckland, registered on 21 April 1993 at the Auckland Land Registry against certificate of title 92B/643 (“the lease”).

And whereas the lease is onerous property in terms of section 243 (2) of the Companies Act 1955, in that it may give rise to a liability to pay money on the part of the Crown.

Take notice that I, Mark Prebble, Acting Secretary to the Treasury, pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act 1955, hereby disclaim for and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, all right, title and interest of Her Majesty the Queen in the lease.

Privacy Act Code of Practice Notice 1997/1

Pursuant to section 49 of the Privacy Act 1993, I give notice as follows:

1. The EDS Information Privacy Code 1997:
   (a) was issued on 20 May 1997;
   (b) will come into force on 1 July 1997; and
   (c) will expire on 30 June 2000.

2. Copies of the code are available for inspection free of charge at the offices of the Privacy Commissioner, 20 Waterloo Quadrant, Auckland and 44–52 The Terrace, Wellington.

3. Copies of the code are available for purchase from offices of the Privacy Commissioner and from Bennetts Government Bookshops.

Industry Training Act 1992

Power Crane Association of New Zealand Incorporated

The Board of the Education and Training Support Agency, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Tuesday, the 15th day of April 1997, the Power Crane Association of New Zealand Incorporated, was granted recognition as an Industry Training Organisation for the Power Crane Industry.

It will set standards on the National Qualifications Framework in the following areas: The operation of all forms of cranes including mobile, crawler, tower, truck mounted, travelling gantry and overhead cranes, container and harbour cranes, crane site supervision and the rigging and slinging of loads, Levels 1–8.

The ITO shall be required to consult with other interested organisations over the setting of skill standards.

New Zealand Contractors’ Federation Incorporated

The Board of the Education and Training Support Agency, pursuant to section 9 (3) (a) of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Tuesday, the 15th day of April 1997, the existing recognition of the New Zealand Contractors’ Federation Incorporated as an Industry Training Organisation was reduced, at the request of the New Zealand Contractors’ Federation Incorporated, by deleting the skill standard setting responsibilities associated with the Power Crane Industry.
