REMOVAL OF DUTY FROM BARLEY AND OATS

TARIFF CHAPTER 10 : SUB-HEADINGS 10.03 AND 10.04

You will have noticed in the First Schedule of this Gazette an Administrative concession relating to the removal of duty from barley and oats of tariff items 1003.00.00 and 1004.00.00 respectively.

The decision to remove the duty was made by the Minister of Commerce following a period of consultation between the Arable Section of the New Zealand Federated Farmers, Ministry of Commerce and representatives of the New Zealand Feed Manufacturers Association.

Part I of the Tariff will be amended to reflect the duty free status of barley and oats as soon as possible.
