AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND CLOSER ECONOMIC RELATIONS TRADE AGREEMENT
RULES OF ORIGIN – DETERMINATION OF IMPORTED MATERIALS
NOTICE 1997/2
In terms of Regulation 33(1)(b)(i) of the Customs & Excise Regulations 1996, “Goods Wholly Manufactured in Australia”, the following material has been determined:
CASSETTES, unassembled or completely knocked down, being cassettes for ANY of the following:
(a) word processor printer;
(b) ADP printer
(c) typewriter
but NOT including cassettes having BOTH of the following;
(a) distance between spool centres exceeding 70mm but less than 90 mm;
(b) distance between ribbon openings (measured in a straight line) exceeding 130 mm but less than 160 mm;
FABRIC, impression, woven man made fibre, provided with selvedges (woven, gummed or otherwise made) on both edges, designed for use in the manufacture of inked ribbons used with typewriters, word processors and ADP printers, having ALL of the following:
(a) width 3 mm or greater but NOT exceeding 300 mm;
(b) grammage 40g/sq. m or greater but NOT exceeding 75 g/sq. m;
(c) length 320 m or greater but NOT exceeding 980 m.
This determination is effective from 15 April 1997.
