Notice of Appointment of a Member to the Veterinary Council of New Zealand

Pursuant to sections 45 (c) and 47 of the Veterinarians Act 1994, I hereby appoint

DR John Hellstrom, operations director of Otaki, being a veterinarian

to be a member of the Veterinary Council of New Zealand from the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette, until 31 December 1999.

Conservation Act 1987

Definitions of Fish and Game Regions Boundaries Notice 1990 Amendment No. 4

Pursuant to section 26A (1) (c) (i) of the Conservation Act 1987 (as inserted by section 17 of the Conservation Law Reform Act 1990), I, Nick Smith, Minister of Conservation, hereby amend the “Definitions of Fish and Game Regions Boundaries Notice 1990”, published in the New Zealand Gazette of 24 May 1990, on page 1861.

1. This amending notice may be cited as the Definitions of Fish and Game Regions Boundaries Notice 1990 Amendment No. 4, and it shall be read together with and deemed part of the Definitions of Fish and Game Regions Boundaries Notice 1990, (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).

2. This amending notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

3. Paragraph seven in the principal notice defining the Nelson/Marlborough Fish and Game Region is amended by adding the following wording to the end of the paragraph:

   “and all the waters, islands and inlets (named or unnamed), shown as area ‘A’ on S.O. Plan 15404, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor of the Nelson Land District.”

4. Explanatory Note: The boundary amendment places all the waters, islands and inlets (named or unnamed), shown as area “A” on S.O. Plan 15404, within the Nelson/Marlborough Fish and Game Region.

Between ANZ Banking Group (New Zealand) Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office in Wellington—Judgment Creditor:

And—The Ship “James Cook”—Judgment Debtor:

Whereas the above-named ship has been sold and the gross proceeds of such sale amounting to $178,810.38 have been paid into Court at the above Registry and whereas the priority of the claims against the said proceeds will not be determined until after the 11th day of May 1997:

Take notice that any person having a claim against the ship or the proceeds of sale thereof on which he intends to proceed to judgment should commence an action to enforce that claim before the above date and, if need be, apply to the Court to extend the period within which the order of priority of claims will not be determined, failing which an order determining the priority of claims against the ship or the proceeds of sale thereof may be made without notice to him.
