Aggregate limit - Grey, Shoveler and Mallard duck; a maximum of 20 birds for any one species or a total bag not exceeding 20 birds for all species combined.
Paradise Shelduck 3 May to 27 July 1997 incl. 20
21 February to 22 February 1998 incl.
whole of region except Jack Bisset wetlands 20
Black Swan 3 May to 29 June 1997 incl. 5
Canada Geese 3 May to 29 June 1997 incl. 1
Pukeko 3 May to 31 August 1997 incl. 10
California and Brown Quail 3 May to 31 August 1997 incl. no limit
Cock pheasant 3 May to 31 August 1997 incl. 5

Shooting hours: 6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. except that for the hunting of Paradise Shelduck on 21 and 22 February 1998, shooting hours will be from 6.00 a.m to 9.00 p.m.

Decoy limit: No limit.

Special Condition

  1. No persons shall wilfully leave on the hunting ground any game bird(s) shot or parts of any game bird(s) shot.
