Exempted Requirements

Regulation 78 (1) (a) and (b)

Schedule 3

Conditions

(i) All seat belts must be in sound condition and good working order and must not be modified in any way;

(ii) Approved 2-point lap seat belts are fitted to all front seating positions;

(iii) All seat belts must be securely anchored to the vehicle and seat belt anchorages that are not the vehicle manufacturer’s original equipment must comply with Specification St 120395;

(iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time;

(v) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Barry Edward Crocker, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice 1997

Pursuant to sections 52 (1) (c) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962 and pursuant to an authority subdelegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, give the following notice:

Notice

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice 1997.

(2) The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

(3) The following notice is revoked:

Those parts of the Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 2 1987* which relate to the roads situated within the rural division of Rotorua District at Reporoa.

Schedule

SITUATED within Rotorua District at Reporoa:

Birch Road: from Settlers Road to Massey Road.

Broadlands Road: from Reporoa Road to a point 300 metres measured south-westerly generally along Broadlands Road from Reporoa Road.

Guthrie Road.

Massey Road.

Reporoa Road: from the Waiotapu Stream to Broadlands Road.

Settlers Road: from Reporoa Road to a point 30 metres measured north-easterly generally along Settlers Road from Birch Road.
