Suspension of Business

Under the provisions of section 139 (1) of the Friendly Societies and Credit Unions Act 1982, the Registrar of Friendly Societies and Credit Unions has prohibited Credit Union Wairarapa from:

• Borrowing money;
• Accepting any payment representing a subscription for a share in the credit union;
• Lending money;
• Repaying share capital, or offsetting an indebtedness of a member against share capital; or
• Accepting new members.

The suspension applies from the 24th day of November 1997.
