Radio Spectrum Auction No. 2

The Ministry of Commerce wishes to advise that Radio Spectrum Auction No. 2 will commence at 10.00 a.m. on Monday, 8 December 1997.

Bidders must register for the auction before 12.00 p.m., Thursday, 4 December 1997.

Radio Spectrum licences suitable for VHF-FM, VHF-TV and UHF-TV are included in the auction.

Some management rights suitable for general communications purposes are also included in the auction.

The multiple round auction will be held electronically, via the internet.

On the 30th day of October 1997 in the District Court at Otahuhu, His Honour Judge D. J. Harvey ordered that the following motor vehicle be forfeited to the Crown, pursuant to section 84 (2) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985:

Pursuant to section 84 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985, an order was made in the Papakura District Court on 31 October 1997, against Mr John Jacob Martin for the confiscation of the following motor vehicle:

Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

Pursuant to Section 84 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985

On the 28th day of October 1997 at the District Court at Tauranga, Johnny James McVay of 21 Bongard Street, Greerton, Tauranga, was convicted and sentenced to 4 months imprisonment and disqualified from holding or obtaining a motor driver’s licence for 12 months from 28 October 1997, following his conviction on this day for an offence of driving whilst disqualified having previously been disqualified twice.

And in addition to the above-mentioned penalty, the Judge has ordered that a

Mazda motor vehicle, registered No. KJ 6340

owned by the above-mentioned defendant, be forfeited to Her Majesty the Queen, pursuant to section 84 (4) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985.

The vehicle is to be surrendered to the Registrar, District Court, Tauranga, or a Bailiff of the District Court, Tauranga, by 4.00 p.m. on the 28th day of October 1997.

Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

Section 84 (2) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985

On the 16th day of October 1997 at the District Court at Huntly, Wayne Joseph Clarke of Rutherford Road, R.D. 1, Taupiri, was convicted and sentenced to 9 months periodic detention following his conviction on a charge of excess breath alcohol twice and careless use causing injury.

And in addition to the above-mentioned penalty, Judge C. N. Tuohy, has ordered that a

owned by the above-named defendant, be forfeited to Her Majesty the Queen, pursuant to section 84 (2) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985.
