Education Lands Act 1949

Land Declared No Longer Needed For Education Purposes

Pursuant to section 5A of the Education Lands Act 1949, and pursuant to authority delegated to me, I, Paul Dickson Burke, Acting Group Property Manager, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby give the following notice.

Notice

  1. The land described in the Schedule to this notice is no longer required for education purposes.

  2. This notice shall come into force on 13 November 1997.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

St Joseph’s School, Opunake.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on the 10th day of November 1997. A copy of the supplementary agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 116 Victoria Avenue, Wanganui.

Fisheries Act 1983

Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 5) 1997 (No. F71)

Pursuant to section 28W (3) of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Minister of Fisheries, after consultation with the New Zealand Fishing Industry Board and the Treaty of Waitangi Fisheries Commission and after having regard to the provisions of section 28W (5) of the Fisheries Act 1983, hereby gives the following notice:

Notice

1. Title and commencement—

(a) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 5) 1997.

(b) This notice shall come into effect the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—

In this notice, “Ngai Tahu Group” means Te Runanga O Ngai Tahu, Ngai Tahu Group Management Limited, Ngai Tahu Charitable Trust and includes any companies owned or controlled by the same or any subsidiary or holding company as those terms are defined for the purposes of the Companies Act 1993.

3. Exemption to quota aggregation limit—

(1) As from the date that this notice comes into effect, for the purposes of section 28W (3) (b), the Ngai Tahu Group may hold quota and interest in quota up to, and including, the percentage limits for spiny rock lobster in the quota management area specified in the following table:

(2) As from the date that this notice comes into effect, for the purposes of section 28W (3) (b), the Ngai Tahu Group may hold quota and interest in quota up to, and including, the percentage limits for paua in the quota management areas specified in the following table:

4. Revocation—
