Land Set Apart for Conservation Purposes
Pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Lands declares the land described in the Schedule hereto, to be set apart for conservation purposes, subject to the Conservation Act 1987.

Land Acquired for Education Purposes—Kotemaori School, Wairoa District
Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Warranted Officer, Regional Crown Property Services, Land Information New Zealand, Wellington, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto, is hereby acquired for education purposes and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, subject to the reservation of way easement described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Second Schedule
Right of Way Easement
A right of way over “B” on S.O. Plan 10790, appurtenant to Section 21, S.O. 3481, on the terms and conditions set out in the Seventh Schedule of the Land Transfer Act 1952, subject to the following additional conditions:
- (a) The cost of formation, installation, maintenance and repair of the right of way, shall be borne by the registered proprietors of the tenements using the same in proportion which such rights are used by each of the registered proprietors and so that no registered proprietor shall bear the cost of formation, installation, maintenance and repair in respect of any part that is not used by him.
(b) If any such repair or maintenance becomes necessary through the omission neglect or default of any one or more of the registered proprietors then those registered proprietors shall bear the whole cost of repair or maintenance.
(c) If any dispute shall arise between any of the registered proprietors as to the easements to be created or as to the terms, conditions, covenants or restrictions the same shall be referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act 1908 and its amendments.
S.O. Plan 10790 is held in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier.

Land Acquired for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes—Hawke’s Bay District
Pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Warranted Officer, Regional Crown Property Services, Land Information New Zealand, Wellington, declares agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule is hereby acquired for soil conservation and river control purposes which shall vest in The Hawke’s Bay Regional Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
